Rob Gronkowski's need for speed will be satisfied this month when he gets behind the wheel of a pace car at the Chicagoland Speedway as a co-grand marshal of the Chicagoland 300 event for NASCAR's Xfinity series on June 20.

Gronkowski and his brothers will join their dad, Gordon, at the track on Father's Day weekend for the event, with the family patriarch serving as the honorary race starter.

The Super Bowl champion tight end released a statement saying that he and his family are excited to bring the Gronk family energy to NASCAR.

"I'm stoked to spend Father's Day weekend with my family at Chicagoland Speedway. Not only are we coming from all over the country to celebrate the best dad in the world, but I get the ultimate adrenaline rush of getting behind the wheel and driving the pace car to kick-off the NASCAR race."

No word on whether the Gronkowski family will be racing their legendary party bus in the event.
