Cleveland Cavaliers fans still struggle to spell ‘Matthew Dellavedova’
Cleveland Cavaliers fans are still struggling to spell the name of Matthew Dellavedova, the breakout star of the NBA Finals.
To be fair, we can understand their difficulty. The middle of his last name, the “ave” does tend to get condensed in most pronunciations.
But still, just look at some of the headlines he’s made this postseason.

“Cavaliers' Varejao an accessory to Dellavedova caffeine addiction.”
“Klay Thompson's dad: 'Joke' to think Dellavedova can stop Stephen Curry.”
“The Cavaliers almost cut Matthew Dellavedova in 2013.”
That’s a wide range of storylines for Cavs fans to get acquainted with the Australian shooting guard. Yet, that last name has just proven too tricky.
