Enjoy Ray Hudson gushing over Lionel Messi for his 28th birthday
Wednesday is a big day for beIN Sport commentator Ray Hudson—it's Lionel Messi's 28th birthday.
The 61-year-old Englishman has made a name for himself by gushing over the Barcelona star's spectacular play. His commentary is nearly as distinctive as Messi's play, and he's been doing it for more than a decade.
The jury's still out on whether Messi is the greatest soccer player in history, but it's clear where Hudson stands. Whenever Messi makes a perfectly placed pass, dribbles around a defender a defender or finesses the ball into the net, Hudson is there to say he's “as lively as a cheerleader on a trampoline,” or something similar.
