Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado celebrated his 23rd birthday in style as he was selected to his second All-Star Game and hit a home run on Monday night.

The leadoff home run off Minnesota Twins pitcher Phil Hughes was Machado's 18th of the season.

This season, Machado is batting .302 with 47 RBIs and has a team-high 13 stolen bases.

Three of Machado's teammates, pitchers Zach Britton and Darren O'Day, and centerfielder Adam Jones, also made the American League All-Star team.

The All-Star game will be played on Tuesday, July 14 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
