Cardale Jones was nominated for the “Best Breakthrough Athlete“ ESPY Award and attended the ceremony on Wednesday in Los Angeles, where the Ohio State quarterback made the most of his time at the star-studded event.

Jones jumped on Twitter during the festivities to try to chat up fellow nominee Ronda Rousey, who took home the “Best Female Athlete” trophy, after admitting that he had a crush on the UFC star despite being afraid of her.

After inquiring what Rousey was doing after the event and getting no response on Twitter, the 22-year-old moved on to Kendall Jenner, the model daughter of Arthur Ashe Courage award winner Caitlyn Jenner.
