Colombian soccer player uses goal celebration to propose to girlfriend

Colombian soccer player Martin Arzuaga scored his first goal for his new club and proposed to his girlfriend right after.

Colombian striker Martin Arzuaga was so excited to score his first goal for his new team on Sunday that he decided to make a major life decision just seconds later.

Arzuaga recently joined Alianza Petrolera from Jaguares de Cordoba and gave his new club a 1–0 lead over Boyaca Chico late in Sunday’s game with a perfectly placed strike in the bottom corner. He celebrated by running toward a cameraman and pulling a note out from under his jersey, asking his girlfriend to marry him.

After the game, Arzuaga’s teammates and his children posed for pictures with the message, so she must have said yes.
