Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen made a splash in the highly-competitive, underground world of college football coach shoe-wearing when he showed up to SEC Media Days sporting Yeezys on his feet.

More specifically, Mullen used his school's Adidas sponsorship to score a pair of the Yeezy 350 Boost Lows, a highly-sought after pair of kicks Kanye West once said could sell for "20 Gs off of eBay." The fashion choice was bold, and undeniably cool.

On Tuesday, during a visit to ESPN, Mullen once again decided to go bold with his footwear choice.

Those are... less cool than Yeezys. To be fair, Mullen wearing maroon-and-white, Mississippi State-emblazoned shoes are probably more up his alley than wearing shoes out of a Kanye fashion show. But we'll always remember the day Mullen dared flying close to the sun, with really cool shoes as the wind beneath his wings.

We're looking forward to seeing what Mullen digs out of his closet next.
