Child tells Luis Suarez that Lionel Messi is Barcelona's best player

FC Barcelona is in the U.S. for the North American International Champions Cup, a tournament that runs from July 11 to August 5.

Luis Suarez has been outspoken in defense of his Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, and even the youth have received his message.

“I am not the best,” Suarez said to a child while signing a soccer ball at an event during Barcelona's U.S. tour.

“You are the best,” the child argued.

“You know who is the best, eh?” Suarez replied.

“Messi,” the child meekly responded.

The North American International Champions Cup runs from July 11 to Aug. 5. Barcelona plays its first game of the Cup Tuesday against the LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl. The defending La Liga champion plays Manchester United in San Francisco on Saturday and Chelsea in Washington, D.C. next Tuesday.

Messi is not playing in the tournament because he needs to rest after competing in the Copa America, coach Luis Enrique said. Suarez was not eligible to play in that tournament as part of his suspension for biting Giorgio Chiellini in the 2014 World Cup.
