Angels to unveil life-size Mike Trout bobblehead on Friday

The Los Angeles Angels announced they will unveil a life-sized Mike Trout bobblehead on Friday.

The Los Angeles Angels announced they will unveil a life-sized Mike Trout bobblehead on Friday night, according to MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez.

The figurine, which will stand at Trout's 6'2" height, will debut before the Angels face off against the Texas Rangers. The announcement comes just one week after Trout became the first player in Major League Baseball history to win back-to-back All-Star Game MVP honors.

Believe it or not, the bobblehead will not be the tallest life-size model in California sports history. Earlier this year, the Golden State Warriors handed out regular sized bobbleheads to 10,000 fans in attendance before unveiling a 7'7" tribute to Manute Bol.

A life-size bobblehead for Trout will do for now, but an actual statue outside of Angel Stadium might be fitting at the end of Trout's major league career: At 23, Trout has already racked up one MVP trophy and two MVP runner-up honors.
