Atlanta Braves leftfielder Eury Perez had a tough night against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday.

Perez struck out three times at the plate, and the one time he did get a hit he got caught trying to steal second base. But it was a play in the outfield that Perez would probably like to have back the most.

In the top of the fifth, Giants second baseman Ehire Adrianza sliced a liner to left that was dropping quickly. Perez raced in and dove for the ball, thinking he pulled off an impressive catch.

The outfielder lifted his glove in triumph before realizing what everyone at home saw—the ball had actually hit off his glove during the catch attempt and careened towards the stands. Adrianza wound up with a double.
