Marlins manager: 'Thank God there's no Prohibition in baseball'

Miami Marlins manager Dan Jennings is doing all he can to cope with the team's tough season.

The Miami Marlins made waves when they sent Dan Jennings from the front office to the dugout, appointing him manager after firing Mike Redmond.

Apparently, what Jennings lacks in experience on the bench, he makes up for in honesty.

Speaking withMiami Herald's Clark Spencer on Sunday, Jennings said this when asked how he's survived during the Marlins' terrible season:

“Thank God there’s no Prohibition in baseball.”

That right there is an outstanding baseball quote. It's possible we're witnessing the birth of something special that will be repeated for generations to come.

Imagine yourself at a very old age, telling your great-grandkids about the beauty of baseball, specifically because there's no Prohibition in it.

Jennings also doesn't have to travel far for a drink, considering the Marlins have a nightclub in left field. Perfect if you're a fiend for mojitos
