Mississippi jewelry store offers refunds if So. Miss. beats Miss. State
Recent years have seen a spate of furniture stores offering refunds if a certain team wins a championship or completes a big upset of a rival, but Southern Mississippi fans may be getting something much shinier if their team can knock off Mississippi State.
Carter’s Jewelry of Petal, Miss., just outside Southern Miss’s home of Hattiesburg, is offering a full refund to everyone who bought jewelry in August if the Golden Eagles can score an upset over the Bulldogs in their Sept. 5 matchup.

Last season saw a College Station, Texas, furniture store hand out over $1 million in refunds after Texas A&M beat South Carolina by 24 points to begin the season. In light of that situation, Southern Miss fans might be further motivated to stock up on rings and tennis bracelets.
