Caesars Palace won't take bets on the Patriots’ Week 1 game

Caesars Palace in Las Vegas won't take any bets on the Patriots' Week 1 game until Deflategate is settled.

Deflategate is finally starting to ruin one of our country's favorite pastimes.

No, not football. Gambling. That's right—sweet, sweet sports betting is being affected by the process being used to settle the Deflategate case.

Caesars Palace (not home to the real Julius Caesar, of course) won't take any bets on the New England Patriots’ Week 1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers until Tom Brady's Deflategate suspension makes its way through federal court.

In an ever-changing America, few things are sacred. Betting on football (where it's legal!) used to be one of the them.

If Brady and Roger Goodell can't get this resolved, our lives may never be the same.
