Making History

Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta continued his tremendous 2015 season by becoming the sixth player this season to throw a no-hitter. The Chicago ace added a major piece to his Cy Young campaign by dominating the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday night. Although his on-field performance earned him a place in baseball history and in the gallery above of most recent no-hitters by team (full-size version), it was his postgame attire that put him a league of his own, as he became the first player in MLB history to conduct his postgame interview in a onesie after throwing a no-no:

His outfit was part of the Cubs' pajama celebration, as all players donned PJs for a postgame brouhaha in the visitor's clubhouse and during their overnight flight back to Chicago. But, in an interesting story, the Dodgers don't think Arrieta actually pitched a no-hitter. They believe Starlin Castro's inability to handle a third inning grounder off the bat of Enrique Hernandez should've been ruled a hit instead of an error... Arrieta even agreed. And if Orioles fans weren't already depressed with their team riding a four-game losing streak and having lost 10 of their last 11, they can take comfort in knowing this:

Slugfest

Everyone thought that the Little League World Series title would be returning to the United States for the first time since 2011 after Lewisberry (Pa.) jumped out to a 10-2 lead in Sunday's championship, but Japan stormed back in a matchup that more closely resembled wiffle ball than baseball to win 18-11. Despite the loss (and this is why we love the LLWS), Lewisberry returned to a hero's welcome.

Congrats, Russell

Russell Westbrook married his college sweetheart Nina Earl over the weekend. Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka were in the house, as was former Thunder teammate James Harden, who brought Khloe Kardashian as his plus-one.

Yes, Please!

Miami Heat owner Micky Arison took to Instagram to suggest possible Miami Vice-themed alternate jerseys for the team. He asked fans what they thought of the idea and said he would pass their response on to the NBA. This would be unreal.

Who cares about the college football regular season? The Miami Hurricanes already won 2015 after a few players took these hilariously epic preseason photos.
