Teenage Bears fan wants to kill his brain tumor, names it ‘Aaron Rodgers’

A young Chicago Bears fan wants to “kill” his brain tumor, so he named it after Aaron Rodgers.

A young Bears fan is using his disdain for the Packers to help fight his cancer.

Miguel Reyes, a 14-year-old from Northern Indiana, has a brain tumor that causes seizures, headaches and problems with his vision and memory. Miguel remains close with his former middle school teacher, Packers fan Peg Kelly, and Kelly told him to give the tumor a name.

“I said, ‘You need to name that tumor so we can kill it,’” Kelly told The Elkhart Truth. “You know what he named it? Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers. What a stinker!”

Kelly also bought Miguel a German shepherd last year, figuring he could use a companion and perhaps even an assistant. He named her Hester, after former Bears return man Devin Hester. The family hopes to train Hester to help prevent Miguel from bumping into things and to detect his seizures. Miguel’s mom started a GoFundMe page to raise money to pay for Hester’s training.
