Report: Ronda Rousey to star in Road House remake
MMA champion and top-three most feared human on the planet Ronda Rousey is expected to star in a remake of the 1989 film Road House, reportsVariety.
Rousey will take over the role originally played by Patrick Swayze. Rousey has dipped her toes in the acting water before, with supporting roles in The Expendables franchise and Extra Mustard's favorite movie of 2015, Furious 7.
In the original Road House, a peak-hunk Swayze is hired as a bouncer at notorious Missouri bar The Double Deuce. Swayze's stoic demeanor is put to the test when he clashes with a corrupt business man played by Ben Gazzara.
The shockingly violent film... You know what? If you want a recap of Road House, Parks and Recreation’s Andy Dwyer did it best [spoiler alert]:

Rousey is a natural choice for the role. If anyone could pull off the physicality from the film in real life, it would be Rousey. According to Variety, the MMA star loved the remake idea but wanted to respect the original film, reaching out to Swayze's widow for her blessing in pursuing the project.
Varietysays production will begin in 2016.
