Bryce Harper made history on Wednesday night when he became just the sixth player to hit 40 home runs in a season before his 23rd birthday, and the Nationals slugger immediately faced an even more difficult task, getting a Phillies fan to give it back to him.

Luckily for Harper the fan seemed amenable to a swap, with the outfielder autographing a ball and tossing it into the stands in exchange for the benchmark homer.

Harper’s 40th home run came as part of a big offensive night for the Nationals, who defeated Philadelphia 12–2.
