Jonathan Papelbon Not Popular In D.C.
The Nationals fanbase has chosen a side in the Bryce Harper-Jonathan Papelbon battle, and surprisingly they are sticking with their 22-year-old MVP favorite over the recently acquired and suspended closer who looks like a villain from an '80’s movie. Fans are even offering to put their money where their mouth is if the team rids itself of Papelbon ASAP.
NBA Media Day
The NBA is very nearly back, with 26 teams holding their media days on Monday. So far Markieff Morris of the Phoenix Suns has backed away from his incendiary summer comments, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of the Nets gave himself a hilarious nickname and Kevin Garnett of the Timberwolves joked that he may have been under the influence when he signed his new contract.

University Of Georgia Shows Real Heart
Southern University wideout Devon Gales was hospitalized with a serious neck injury during Saturday’s game at Georgia, and he is currently in stable condition at an Athens hospital. UGA had Gales’s parents flown into town and driven to the hospital by Bulldogs staff members.
