Sean Rodriguez has a strange apology for his dugout water cooler outburst

Pirates infielder Sean Rodriguez beat up a water cooler on Wednesday night. But it’s cool, the bucket of Gatorade accepted his apology.

Things got heated during Wednesday night’s Cubs-Pirates game after Chicago ace Jake Arrieta got plunked by a pitch. Sean Rodriguez was the only player ejected after the benches cleared and he took his frustration out on a water cooler in the dugout.

On Thursday, Rodriguez offered a strange apology. It started off pretty standard, with a Bible verse, and ended with him anthropomorphizing the water cooler.

Luckily for both parties, it’ll be a long time before they meet again. That dugout will be empty until April.
