NFL injuries by body part for Week 8 of the NFL season

It seemed like every team sustained serious injuries during Week 8. Big names like Reggie Bush, Le'Veon Bell and Cameron Wake are now done for the season. Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette will need neck surgery and miss the rest of 2015. The injuries weren’t only numerous, they were severe.

Elsewhere, receivers Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall both found themselves on the injury report. Marshall shares the distinction with his quarterback Geno Smith as players who hurt multiple body parts.

Here are the all of the injuries we could find for Week 8, grouped by body part. (We miss anything? Shoot us an email.)

Concussions saw a spike in Week 8, with seven players reporting the injury. It was a rough week for knees and ankles, which saw 12 injuries combined. Interestingly hamstring injuries, which have been quite common this season, did not show up on injury reports this week. The total number of injuries was 43. We’ll be back with more next week.
