Merle has been a Trial Blazers fan ever since the team debuted in 1970, when she was just 47 years old, but the now 92-year-old just got her first chance to see her favorite team in person on Thursday night.

The trip was made even more special thanks to the Vital Life Foundation charity, which organized a successful campaign for Merle to meet her favorite player, Damian Lillard.

The internet likes to use the word heartwarming way too much, but there is really no other way to describe the Portland star taking the time to visit with a fan like Merle.
