TBT: Shaq vs. Backboard

It's Throwback Thursday and Ahmad Rashad's birthday. Tiffany and I spent some time digging around YouTube for something involving Rashad and early '90s NBA. To say we were pleased when we came across this clip from 1992 of Rashad and Shaquille O'Neal playing one-on-one would be an understatement, especially when Shaq destroyed a defenseless basket.

Battle of the Really Big Men

Central Florida and UC Irvine faced off Wednesday night, which meant 7-foot-6 centers Tacko Fall (UCF) and Mamadou Ndiaye (UC-Irvine) went head-to-head in the tallest battle in college hoops history. Ndiaye's Anteaters earned a 61-60 victory but Fall scored a moral victory with this shot block. If only we could get these two to go grocey shopping. That would be funny.

Gregg Popovich High School?

A San Antonio resident started a petition to change the name of the city's Robert E. Lee High School to Gregg Popovich High School. Pop hates the idea.

Lovely Lady of the Day

Erin Heartherton posed with photographer Yu Tsai and she looks even better without the stars (I have the pics in my inbox). I'm sure Jimmy Butler is jealous. She is today's LLOD (click here for full-size gallery).

Olivia Munn vs. Packers Fans

The Packers are struggling and fans have a simple solution: Aaron Rodgers needs to stop having sex with Olivia Munn. As the old Essex song goes, "easier said than done."

Odds & Ends

Enjoyed this piece on the Super Bowl MVP Car Club ... Kelly Olynyk tried Dirk Nowitzki's famous one-legged fadeaway on Nowitzki ... Jason Pierre-Paul face-timed with an 11-year-old who had his fingers amputated ... Mark Cuban on the Rajon Rondo trade: "S--- happens" ... Jon Jones says he is fighting at Madison Square Garden in April, but it's far from confirmed ... Maurice Jones-Drew is no Tom Brady, no matter how hard he tries ... Was the deal for Jake Arrieta the best trade in Cubs history? ... DeMar DeRozen destroyed poor Rudy Gobert ... The secret is out. Carly Simon was singing about Warren Beatty in You're So Vain ... Kurt Sutter pulled the plug on his own show. Maybe he can start a new show about Jimmy Smits' character Nero after he left Charming in Sons of Anarchy.

Cris Carter is Old

Cris Carter tries to explain dabbing, but calls it bapping. Bet he wishes there were a fall guy for this disaster.
