Spanish soccer team mocks Real Madrid by pretending to kidnap player

Real Madrid made a dumb mistake Wednesday, and other Spanish clubs aren’t going to fall into the same trap.

Real Madrid made a really dumb mistake on Wednesday, fielding an ineligible player in a cup match against third-tier club Cadiz. The silver lining is that other clubs seem to have learned a valuable lesson.

Cadiz plays Merida on Sunday and Merida defender Jonhy Monago is suspended. It’s a big match for eighth-place Merida, so they’re not going to risk letting Jonhy get on the field by accident. They’re really not taking chances.

Yeah, he’s not going anywhere.
