If Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin looked like he was playing with a little extra motivation in Sunday’s win over the Patriots, he just may have been.

Barwin shared a story on a Philadelphia radio show Monday morning about a friendly bet he made with a couple of New England fans before the start of the game. They were talking trash to Barwin, saying he wouldn’t sack Tom Brady and that the Patriots were going to win.

“I just said make sure you have a beer ready for me after we win,” Barwin said.

Not only did the Eagles pull of the upset, Barwin also had his first multi-sack game of the season, so it was time for the Pats fans to hold up their end of the bargain.

Philly newscasters lose bet, shave their heads after Eagles win

“Sure enough, we won and they had a Bud Light ready for me so I grabbed it on my way out.”

It’s true! There’s photographic evidence.
