Watch Christian McCaffrey, teammates celebrate Heisman nod

The three finalists for this year’s Heisman Trophy were announced on Monday and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey was clearly the most nervous of the bunch.

The three finalists for this year’s Heisman Memorial Trophy were announced on Monday, with Alabama’s Derrick Henry, Clemson’s Deshaun Watson and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey being chosen to attend the award ceremony.

McCaffrey was viewed as a likely candidate, but that did not remove the nervousness of waiting for the announcement, as you can see in this video of the running back and his teammates watching the reveal on television.

The son of longtime NFL wide receiver Ed McCaffrey, Christian broke Barry Sanders single-season all-purpose yardage record of 3,250 yards set when the Hall of Fame running back played at Oklahoma State in 1988.

This year’s Heisman winner will be announced on Dec. 12.
