Lil B says he and Iman Shumpert are making music together

Apparently, Cavaliers guard and rap aficionado Iman Shumpert has been in the studio with Lil B.

While he’s been sidelined for the season’s first 21 games, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert has spent some time focusing on his rap career; freestyling over “Hotline Bling” and “Jumpman.”

Apparently, he’s also been in the studio with Lil B.

The Based God was a recent guest on the Warriors World podcast, and revealed that he and Shumpert were collaborating.

“Iman Shumpert, that’s the fam,” Lil B said. “Definitely look out, me and Iman Shumpert got some music coming. He definitely respects the Warriors and respects what’s going down in the Bay Area. We connect in the positivity ... Imma do my thing and make that happen.”

The rapper also said that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving nearly forced him to activate the Based God’s curse on the Cavaliers due to their cooking dance imitations, but Shumpert saved the team by “being extremely real and knowing where the swag comes from,” Lil B said. “He immediately cleared things up.”

What else has Lil B been up to? He told the podcast that he’s been reading the NBA rulebook in order to clean up his game, and he’s been “embracing the backboard” in his practice time.

Shumpert is expected to return to the Cavaliers’ lineup Friday against the Magic. He released the following hype video.

This collaboration is destined to be extremely lit.

Update (4:33 p.m. ET): Lil B has confirmed the news to SI.com.
