Ronda Rousey is still recovering from her loss to Holly Holm last month, but the former UFC champ is letting everyone know that she is not going to stand up her date to the upcoming Marine Corps Ball.

Rousey agreed to attend the event with soldier Jarrod Haschert back in September, but on Thursday the Marine’s mother told a radio station he had not heard from the fighter since she lost her belt, but was hoping the MMA star would still be at the ball.

When word got back to Rousey that people thought she might stand up Haschert, she dispelled the rumors to TMZ Sports while catching an early flight to the event on Friday morning.

“It’s an honor to be asked. I probably would stay on my couch crying and eating for another month if he hadn’t asked me.”
