2015 Sportsperson of the Year: Serena Williams
Monday December 14th, 2015

The year 2015 has been remarkable for Serena Williams: She won three Grand Slams, completed her second career “Serena Slam,” and capped it off by winning Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year award.

How did she kick off her incredible year? By dancing with Donald Trump, of course.

S.L. Price’s profile of Williams for SI’s Sportsperson issue reveals that Williams danced with Trump at the real estate titan’s New Year’s party.

Trump has also had quite the year: He has vaulted himself to the top of the polls for the Republican presidential nomination. Trump, who attended Serena’s U.S. Open quarterfinal match this year against older sister Venus, declared his candidacy in June.

Serena Williams is 2015 Sportsperson of the Year

We can only speculate as to whether Serena and Donald discussed their New Year’s resolutions for 2015.
