Stanford, who is No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings, narrowly missed out on a shot to play for a national championship this season.

After Stanford easily disposed of No. 5 Iowa 45–16 in the Rose Bowl on Friday, and No. 2 Alabama blew out No. 4 Michigan State 38–0 on Thursday, Cardinal offensive lineman Josh Garnett let fans know he wants a game with the Crimson Tide.

Unfortunately, he won’t get that game. Alabama will play No. 1 Clemson on Jan. 11 in the National Championship Game.
