A young fan was seen holding up a sign during the Columbus game against Montreal, which requested Atkinson score so that she might get a puppy from her father.

Atkinson didn’t just score once. He scored three times.

Her name is Maddie Wright, she’s nine years old and she actually already has a dog—a three-year-old black lab/Australian shepherd mix named Wrigley. But Maddie and her brother Josh wanted another dog, so the family is going to adopt one from a local shelter.
