A Marquette fan who entered into a verbal contract with Providence star Kris Dunn during Wednesday’s game has found a way to honor his $10 bet with Dunn while not running afoul of the NCAA’s rules regarding impermissible benefits.

Marquette student Jamey Schilling says he promised to give Dunn ten bucks if he missed a free throw late in Providence’s double-overtime loss to the Golden Eagles. Whether or not Dunn accepted the bet, Schilling held up his end of the bargain.
