The Rangers are giving free season tickets to any fan who can hit a homer

Texas Rangers fans who want free season tickets just have to hit a home run at Globe Life Park.

Rangers fans who want free tickets to every home game this season just have to do what starting centerfielder Delino DeShields only managed to do twice last season: hit a home run.

Of course, there’s a couple of catches. First of all, you have to put down a deposit of at least 25% before you take your hacks. You only get three swings and you can’t be a current or former pro or college baseball player.

Those terms really put a damper on things, but the good news is you can get another three swings if you put down another 25%. You might as well pay your tickets off in full and get 12 swings.

The event is this coming Saturday at Globe Life Park. It’s 332 feet down the line in left and 325 in right.
