Rangers' Mats Zuccarello helps a fan get a date to prom
When Mats Zuccarello took the ice before the Rangers took on the Blue Jackets on Monday night, he had no idea that he held the romantic fate of a teenager in the palm of his hands.
Vinny Mutone and his girlfriend, Catherine De Pinho, were at the game and Mutone had a sign letting the wing now that if he handed over his stick, De Pinho, who he has been dating for one month, would attend the Connetquot High prom with him, according to the New York Daily News.
The man known to fans as “ZUUUUUUUUCC” came through for the teens, even signing the stick and the poster.

Hockey players have really been coming through for fans this season, as Blue Jackets’ Cam Atkinson and Senators’ Bobby Ryan both earned supporters puppies by scoring goals.
