Watch: John Wall refs a Special Olympics basketball game

John Wall and the Wizards helped out at a recent Special Olympics Unified game in Washington, D.C.

John Wall and the Wizards had the night off on Tuesday but the point guard still spent his evening on the hardwood, serving as a referee at the Special Olympics Unified Game in Washington D.C.

In addition to being charitable, Wall is also cool so he added some flair to his officiating style, with moves rarely seen outside of Joey Crawford.

He was joined by some Washington teammates at the event, including Marcin Gortat, who announced the teams’s lineups, and Otto Porter and Garrett Temple, who served as coaches for the contest.

Wall has become a good ambassador to the Washington community in his time with the Wizards, donating $400,000 to a center for homeless children in the area last year.
