March Madness Round-Up
The first weekend is over, the Sweet 16 is set and I'm still trying to figure out how Northern Iowa blew a 12-point lead with 33 seconds left. There are a million other things that happened this weekend but here are my three favorites: The pep band dance-off between North Carolina and Providence, Oklahoma's Sweet 16 locker room celebration and Notre Dame's Matt Farrell being all sorts of creepy during an interview with Allie LaForce. Bonus shout out to Thomas "Don't Call Me Bryce Harper" Walkup of Stephen F. Austin, who was my favorite random player of the first weekend and will live in my tournament lore alongside Kevin Pittsnogle and Bryce Drew.

By now you've heard about the Adam LaRoche controversy in Chicago. White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf issued a statement Sunday praising LaRoche while also backing his front office. There are some shades of grey to the story (the team promised LaRoche his son could be with team, other players may have complained) but where do you stand on the controversy?

I don't want to tell you who to vote for in the 2016 AskMen Crush List, but I'm better friends with Anastasia Ashley than I am with any of the others so she gets my support (click for full-size gallery).
Weirdest Subplot of NHL Season
If you've haven't been paying attention, the Florida Panthers have a weird fascination with Kevin Spacey. It began when the team met Spacey on a road trip and went on a win streak. The players credited Spacey for their success and he's become (along with his space hoodie) a good luck charm this season. It all culminated on Saturday when the actor showed up at the BB&C Center and received a standing ovation. Not to get all Chris Farley, but it was awesome.
