John Kasich does not know the plot of Rudy
Ohio Gov. John Kasich made an egregious error during an interview on Wednesday that could cost him the votes of every Sean Astin fan in the nation.
Kasich, the Republican presidential candidate who is not the one that looks like Duke’s Grayson Allen or the one who is buddies with Rex Ryan, revealed during a Facebook Live appearance with The Washington Post that he is unfamiliar with the plot of the 1993 film Rudy.
Kasich explained that he views himself as “the little engine that can.”
“If you follow that movie Rudy where the guy walks on the field and scores a touchdown, think of me as the political Rudy,” Kasich says around three minutes into this video.
Incorrect, sir! Rudy played defense! The climactic scene of the movie is actually Rudy recording a sack.
