Beware the 13th

Justin K. Aller/Getty Images

Regardless of where you rank Friday the 13th on your list of superstitions, the following athletes won't soon forget the only such bad luck Friday we'll have in 2016. Jose Reyes got word from MLB that he will lose over $7.6 million in salary stemming from his October 2015 arrest on charges of domestic violence ... Tampa Bay goalie Ben Bishop was carted off with a lower body injury in the Stanley Cup playoffs ... Yankees pitcher Luis Severino, the only starting pitcher in baseball with an ERA over 7, gave up seven runs in three innings and ended the night on the disabled list with a right triceps strain ... Not to go unmentioned, Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart and Jamie McMurray got caught up in a crash at a NASCAR practice session, with Patrick's car catching fire, Stewart concerned about his surgically repaired back and Murray nursing a sore left arm.

Steph Curry vs. LeBron

Miami forced a Game 7 in Toronto with its win Friday night, but that was overshadowed by Steph Curry's response to the MVP comments by LeBron James. If the reigning NBA champs didn't have motivation enough to repeat, they certainly have it now. Game 1 between the Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder is Monday night and it has all the makings of a potential playoff classic.

Matt Bush Finally Makes the Bigs

Twelve years after he was the first pick in baseball's draft, Matt Bush played in his first major league game Friday and retired, in order, Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion to close out the ninth inning. His journey, which included a 3 1/2-year prison term, is worth a read.

Gary from Galveston requested that we feature Rosanna Arkle, yet another lovely lady from the country that just keeps on giving. Thank you, Australia; and good looking out, Gary. (Click here for her full-size gallery.)

Leah Still Busts a Move

Leah Still, who has been cancer free since March 2015, got the honor of being the flower girl at her father's wedding on Friday in New York, and stole the show afterwards with more of her dance moves.
