If you bet against Mickey Moniak, you will end up with a butt tattoo of his name. This is a lesson that his longtime friend and teammate Ethan Abrams learned the hard way when Moniak was taken first overall by the Phillies in this week’s MLB draft.
Apparently the two friends made a bet several year’s ago that Abrams would get the centerfielder’s signature tattooed on his behind if Moniak was a top ten selection, and the California teenager is holding his friend to his word, according to an interview with MLB.com.
"That is true," said Moniak, a charismatic Cali kid who was clearly comfortable on camera. "That is very true. … I'm holding him to that, too."
