Old man unfashionably late to internet joke

On Tuesday, 64-year-old football coach Pete Carroll logged on to Twitter and got incredibly hype. He apparently found out about Stephen Curry’s new shoes, which became an internet meme last Thursday, and decided he was ready to get in on the joke, four days later.

On June 10th, he tweeted about President Barack Obama slow-jamming the news. Hilarious! On June 11th, he was at Marshawn Lynch’s new store. Nice! On June 13th, it was finally time to tweet about those sneakers.

What’s funnier than making fun of Curry’s shoes? Carroll asked himself. I've got it! Liking the shoes!

Well, he let the jokes fly.

It sort of makes sense that Carroll would actually like the shoes, given that he rocks white kicks every day, but it’s even more reasonable that he’s painfully late to the joke.

Looking forward to Carroll’s upcoming planking photo.
