Martellus Bennett: ‘I’m the Kanye of the NFL’

Michael and Martellus Bennett got together and talked about everything from Eli Manning to Kanye West.

If you were ranking the most fascinating characters in the NFL today you would have to put both Martellus and Michael Bennett near the top, and the tight end and defensive lineman definitely lived up to that reputation in a new interview with ESPN.

In the interview the pair gleefully skewer their fellow NFL players, with Martellus calling former teammate Jay Cutler “the worst quarterback in the NFL”, and Michael jokingly had this to say about Roger Goodell: "A--hole. Nah, I'm just joking -- you can't say that. Overpaid." The finest barb of the bunch was definitely newly minted patriot Martellus’s take on Giants QB Eli Manning.

"Eli? He's cool. He's like a normal white guy you see at the park trying to teach his kids how to play soccer and you know he can't really play soccer himself."

Martellus also had a comparison for himself, calling himself “the Kanye of the NFL,” after he and his brother spot someone walking down the street wearing one of the extra long shirts favored by the controversial rapper.
