Ben McAdoo wore a ‘Benny with the good hair’ shirt to get back at Chris Christie

Giants coach Ben McAdoo has beef with New Jersey governor (and Cowboys fan) Chris Christie.

This is a story that involves the head coach of the New York Giants, the governor of New Jersey and Beyoncé.

Chris Christie, the sports radio yakker currently moonlighting as governor of the nation’s 11th-largest state, co-hosted “Boomer & Carton” on New York’s WFAN on Tuesday, filling in for Boomer Esiason. Christie, a Cowboys fan, took the opportunity to take a shot a Giants coach/fashion icon Ben McAdoo.

“So do you think Ben McAdoo will actually get a real haircut if they make the playoffs?” Christie cracked, adding that McAdoo has a “cheesy mustache.”

McAdoo, whose Giants just beat Christie’s Cowboys for the second time this season, took notice. According to the New York Post, the coach showed up to Wednesday’s team meeting with a message for Christie.

“He just walked in with a shirt that said, ‘Benny With The Good Hair.’ It had a picture of his face on it with good hair,” an unnamed player told the Post. (The shirt, it appears, is sold by Barstool Sports.)

“If you guys watched the news, you probably heard this thing,” McAdoo reportedly told his players. “This is what I think of it.”

McAdoo better hope Christie isn’t a Beyoncé fan, otherwise he might have his commute disrupted
