Start 'Em, Sit 'Em -- Week 2

How do you feel after baseball's opening week?

Are you giddy because you drafted Jason Heyward? The rookie phenom hit a homer in his first major league at-bat and is batting .292 with 3 HR and 8 RBI through six games.

Not a bad first week on the job.

Or are you disappointed in your players like Hank Aaron is? The former home run king recently said too many young players try to hit 70 home runs instead of doing the small things to help their team win. He's probably not a big fan of all-or-nothing slugger Mark Reynolds, who already has two home runs to go with seven strikeouts.

Maybe you're just bored like umpire Joe West, who griped about the slow play between the Yankees and Red Sox. I know how he feels. The "greatest rivalry in sports" is replayed 19 times a year, with the potential for 26 if they meet in the playoffs. Where's the drama in that?

At this early stage in the season, the best thing to do is stay calm and patient. Don't worry if you missed out on Heyward -- he's just 20-years old and he's going to have a few slumps in his rookie season. He already recorded his first four-strikeout game on Friday against the Giants.

Also, you should maintain realistic expectations for your players. With Reynolds, you have to take the good (40 home runs) with the bad (230 strikeouts). The Astros aren't going to lose 162 games despite starting 0-6, so hold on to Roy Oswalt. And Milton Bradley won't hit .048 all season after a miserable 1-for-21 start (but it's too bad you don't get fantasy points each time he loses his temper).

If you're not a fan of the Yankees or Red Sox, I suggest getting a few players from each team, even the mediocre ones like J.D. Drew and Brett Gardner. Most of their games are national televised, so you might as well have some kind of rooting interest when watching them duke it out.

Now, here's my advice for setting your lineup, but be forewarned -- like Alan Greenspan, I'm only right 70 percent of the time.
