After suffering an apparent shoulder injury, Tajh Boyd left the game, but then returned to the sidelines with his helmet on.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd hurt his left collarbone on the final play of the third quarter and headed to the locker room in the eighth-ranked Tigers' game with Georgia Tech on Thursday night.

After scrambling for 7 yards as the quarter wound down, Boyd remained on the turf as trainers hurried to his side. Boyd got up on his own power and trotted to the sideline. Moments later, though, he walked to the locker room at Death Valley.

Boyd had completed 20 of 26 passes for 340 yards and four touchdowns. The senior also ran for 43 yards and a touchdown. The Tigers led 41-24 when Boyd left the field.
