Make the Moment takes Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) Make the Moment rallied to beat Atlantic's Smile by a neck Thursday, giving trainer Charlton Baker a 1-2 finish in the $69,000 allowance feature for older fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Atlantic's Smile, the 1-2 favorite, set the pace and looked the winner for most of the race. Make the Moment, sent off at 5-1, had a more adventurous trip.

The trailer turning for home, Make the Moment and jockey Taylor Rice angled wide at the top of the stretch before diving into opening along the rail.

The 5-year-old swung wide again in the final strides, getting up for her sixth win in 26 starts. The time was 1:13.97 for six furlongs on the fast track.

Make the Moment paid $13.60, $3.80 and $2.40. Atlantic's Smile returned $2.20 and $2.10, and Misszippityslewda paid $2.40.
