Noble and a Beauty wins Big A's Cicada Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Noble and a Beauty cruised to her first stakes victory Sunday in the $100,000 Cicada for 3-year-old filly sprinters at Aqueduct.

Noble and a Beauty rallied three wide on the turn with Jose Ortiz aboard and easily snatched the lead from the pacesetting Hard to Stay Notgo. She quickly pulled away from the pack, finishing eight lengths better than Eloquent Tribute, who overcame a stumble at the start to edge Overprepared for second.

The time was 1:13.74 for the six furlongs on the track rated good.

Trained by Rick Violette, Noble and a Beauty won for the second time in three starts, paying $5.10, $3.10 and $2.60 as the 3/2 second choice.

Eloquent Tribute returned $4.10 and $4.70 while Overprepared paid $3.80 to show.

Hard to Stay Notgo finished fourth as the 6/5 favorite.
