ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Bolo won the $65,000 feature by 2 3/4 lengths Friday at Santa Anita in his first race since finishing 12th in the Kentucky Derby on May 2.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Bolo ran 1 1/8 miles on turf in 1:49.48 and paid $2.40, $2.20 and $2.10 as the 1-5 favorite.

Royal Albert Hall returned $4.40 and $2.60, while Hero Ten All was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $2.80 to show.

Bolo has three wins - all on turf - in seven career starts.

''He was training good on the dirt going into the Derby, but he has so much confidence on the grass, he's much better on it,'' Bejarano said. ''He doesn't make any noise on the grass and there's no doubt in my mind he's one of the best horses in California on grass.''
