Freestyler rallies late to win Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Freestyler overtook Congenial to win by a neck in the $42,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

Ridden by Daniel Centeno and trained by Bruce Alexander, the 5-year-old gelding ran the 1 mile, 70 yards over a fast track in 1:41 and paid $19, $8.60, and $3.60 in posting his third straight win.

Congenial paid $14.20 and $8.20, while Catholic Cowboy was four lengths back in third and returned $3.60.
