Colorado Rockies manager Clint Hurdle is expected to be fired on Friday, SI.com has confirmed.

Hurdle's firing was first reported by The Denver Post.

Hurdle has been the Rockies' manager since 2002, when he took over for BuddyBell three weeks into the season. He led the club to the 2007 World Series, but has steered the Rockies to an overall record of 18-28 and last-place standing in the National League West this season.

The Post reported that bench coach Jim Tracy likely will be his replacement.
