Free agent outfielder Ryan Church has an agreement with the Pirates on a major-league deal for $1.5 million plus another $1.5 million in incentives, sources said.

The deal is expected to be finalized after the results of Church's physical, which was done Tuesday. The deal was first reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Church, 31, was bothered by a sore back while hitting .273 with four home runs and 40 RBIs in 111 games with the Braves and Mets last season.
