Mets' Pelfrey has shoulder tightness

New York Mets' right-handed Mike Pelfrey went for an MRI on Monday but is said to have only shoulder tightness and will make his next start Friday.

Pelfrey, 26, has been one of the season's biggest surprises. He won his first four starts and even picked up a save in a 20-inning game against the Cardinals before being knocked around by the Phillies on Saturday night in Philadelphia. He is now 4-1 with a 2.40 ERA.
